Andrew Lang (Executive Assistant) is thrilled to be part of the Bach Aria Soloists team. He is grateful to have served as the Elizabeth Suh Lane’s Executive Assistant since 2012, and helps the group with everything from managing the website, creating marketing materials, organizing events, fundraising and so on.
During the day, Andrew works full-time as the Development Coordinator at Starlight Theatre, a Kansas City treasure since 1950. Starlight is Kansas City’s oldest and largest performing arts organization, and the second largest outdoor producing theatre in the country. As the Development Coordinator, Andrew helps raise funds to address Starlight’s critical general operating needs, thinks of new ways to improve Starlight’s existing conditions, and most importantly, helps create special everyday moments for Starlight’s supportive donors and patrons.
His background in nonprofits began while serving as a marketing intern with the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. He has since gone on to intern at the Kansas City Symphony in their development department as well as the Unicorn Theatre. In addition, he has contributed to the planning and behind the scenes work for Variety KC Children’s Charity’s events and daily operations.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys performing. He has been acting and singing in productions and various choirs ever since he was six years old. In early 2013, he starred in Leawood Stage Company’s performance of Songs for a New World. He even had his full audition appear on American Idol in 2009 in front of 32 million viewers.
