    Bach Aria Soloists celebrates 26 years of adventurous chamber music experiences of consummate artistry and 

    multidisciplinary collaboration in Kansas City and beyond.

    Bach Aria Soloists announces their stunning 26th Concert Season: Join Bach Aria Soloists for their free season opening concert in Loose Park’s beautiful Laura Conyers Smith Rose Garden. The Bach Aria Soloists Hauskonzert is back with guest oboist Margaret Marco. Bach Aria Soloists will share the stage with Missouri Choral Artists in a wide-ranging program of choral gems. Our beloved Holiday Concert tradition continues at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Bach Aria Soloists welcomes hometown native and horn virtuoso Chris Komer back to Kansas City for a uniquely captivating concert of Brahms, Vivian Li, whose White Moose Crossing was composed for Komer, and original jazz improvisations with Komer on piano. Finally, Bach Aria Soloists will collaborate with the Kansas City Actors Theater in this world premiere performance of “Our Favorite Things,” an enchanting music and theater showcase.

    Bach Aria Soloists welcomes hometown native Chris Komer back to Kansas City. Chris and Elizabeth Suh Lane met when they were students at the Tanglewood Music Center. Having built distinguished careers in music, they are reuniting for the first time in concert since Tanglewood. The concert will include the Brahms Horn Trio, Schubert Auf dem Strom for horn, soprano and piano, along with original pieces from Komer’s solo piano album Travlin’ Music [Folk Songs, Ballads, and Improvisations].

Bach Aria Soloists is elated to welcome hometown native Chris Komer — world-renowned horn player —  back to Kansas City from New York! Chris and Elizabeth Suh Lane met when they were students at the Tanglewood Music Center. Chris has spent his music career in New York, on Broadway, as Principal Horn of New Jersey Symphony, on the faculty of Princeton University, and he is Principal Horn of the Miami City Ballet Orchestra and guest principal horn with numerous other orchestras. 




Chris makes his debut with Bach Aria Soloists for an innovative program featuring french horn by Brahms, Massenet, living composer Vivian Li, and Komer himself, as jazz pianist, including beautiful original music from his recording, Travlin' Music [Folk songs, Ballads and Improvisations]. BAS also welcomes excellent pianist Ellen Sommer for this exceptional evening of music making.
