This joyous Spring finale to BAS' 24th Concert Season includes JS Bach's organ masterpiece Piece d'Orgue featuring BAS' organist/harpsichordist Elisa Williams Bickers, and the great sonatas from Beethoven, Mozart and Brahms. The master composers composed chamber music as a vital mode of expression, performance and social interaction. What could be better than to showcase these delightful sonatas and arias evoking spring!
Bach Aria Soloists is utterly thrilled that they have been invited, along with great friend and trumpet virtuoso Rodney Marsalis, to perform at the Cayman Arts Festival in the Caymans!

We are ecstatic about performing these sacred gems by Bach and Buxtehude for the first time with Te Deum. Salve Mundi Salutare, is explored, longed for, and celebrated in unique ways in the three pieces on this program

Featuring trailblazing women composers through the ages and the formidable women in Shakespeare’s most beloved plays. | This collaborative, script in hand performance brings together the Bach Aria Soloists with the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival for an all-women tour-de-force! Riveting scenes from Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” “As You Like it,” “King Lear,” “Hamlet,” “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” “Taming of the Shrew,” “Twelfth Night,” “Othello” and “Merry Wives of Windsor,” paired with the extraordinary music of the following pioneers, a true fête for women!

The beloved Annual Holiday Concert is a highlight for BAS fans each December. The beautiful sounds of the season with intimate chamber music arrangements by the Bach Aria Soloists warms the heart and soothes the soul. Lindsey Lang, guest vocalist, join BAS.
DIALOGUE is set in artist Peregrine Honig's historic Greenwood Social Hall. Guests will be welcomed with adult libations and small bites. BAS will showcase stunning dialogues by master composers Monteverdi, Bach, Holst, Handel, and Prangcharoen-who composed two extraordinary works for Bach Aria Soloists. Each patron attending DIALOGUE will receive a one-of-a-kind, limited edition poster by Honig!

Join us for an evening of fierce women in music and painting. Just as Baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi chose to tell the story of the brave Judith, period composers Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Barbara Strozzi, and Hildegard von Bingen also drew inspiration from women throughout history, immortalizing their stories in music.
Performed by Bach Aria Soloists: Founder/Artistic Director Elizabeth Suh Lane, Soprano Sarah Tannehill Anderson, Harpsichord Elisa Williams Bickers and featuring commentary by the senior Curator of European Arts Aimee Marcereau DeGalan, this evening will unite music and painting and celebrate the drama and splendor of the Baroque.

BAS partners once again with the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival for an all women program highlighting trailblazing women composers through the ages and the formidable women in some of Shakespeare’s most renowned plays, performed by our all-star female cast. This event is sold out.

Bach and Schubert believed the home to be the ideal setting for chamber music. Bach Aria Soloists’ Hauskonzert lives up to its twenty-year tradition with an intimate performance in the stunning Zumsteg-Linville home along the Missouri River bluffs of Kansas City. Mingle with friends and enjoy a delightful reception in the west garden to complete this perfect evening.

BAS goes global! The Bach Aria Soloists has been selected as Artist in Residence at the 2022 Thailand International Composition Festival—the country’s foremost music festival featuring world-class composers and musicians who bring contemporary music to Southeast Asia. TICF’s founder, Narong Prangcharoen (winner of the Guggenheim Fellowship and Charles Ives Award), chose the Bach Aria Soloists to premiere his newest composition at the Festival along with a full concert of Baroque and Contemporary masterworks.

HAPPY 337th BIRTHDAY to our namesake JS BACH! Bach Aria Soloists honors Bach at every concert, but for his birthday, the whole globe remembers Bach through the Bach in the Subways movement. Elizabeth Suh Lane and Jeff Harshbarger will perform for Kansas City and our region’s only #bachinthesubways performance at Union Station Saturday March 26, 1 p.m.

A happy hour soiree teeming with romance and French music on the lawn overlooking Kansas City’s downtown skyline. This intimate garden gathering will stimulate the senses with fresh air, a cool October breeze, and gorgeous music—the makings of another memorable BAS evening!
Don’t be fooled by the name, the Bach Aria Soloists do a lot more than just Bach (but they do Bach really well!). Based in Kansas City, this adventurous chamber ensemble is well-known for innovative programming that introduces audiences to the brilliance of Bach as well as contemporary composers he inspired, with fresh, exciting and original arts productions combining genres, infusing new life to ancient music.
